(b. 1974, Rishon LeTsiyon, Israel; lives and works in Tel Aviv)
Erez Aharon's hallmark is realistic painting of fine metaphors for Israeli reality: an olive branch hanging by a thread, a flower without roots attached to a wall, etc. Aharon studied at the Midrasha School of Art, at Beit Berl Academic College, and under artist Israel Hershberg at the Jerusalem Studio School. In his works, he combines a perception of art as meditative, exercising, silent observation and art which reacts to reality. His work is closely affined with that of other Hershberg students, such as Eran Reshef and Aram Gershuni. In 2016 and 2018 he was featured prominently in Gordon Gallery's exhibition at the Fresh Paint Art Fair, Tel Aviv.
