"Visually, I was exposed to the Nile and its gardens fully of bougainvillea and jasmine. Antiques and great ancient Egyptian sculptures were everyday sights. We were surrounded by the masterpieces of the ancient world. I discovered Renaissance and modern art only at age 18, when I moved to england and was blown away by their impact.
That was the beginning of my interest and involvement in art. Later years were filled with wonder and an unexpected eventful and privileged life. I never took anything for granted. To this day I am amazed and grateful when good things come my way".
