Throughout his long career spanning several years, Asad Azi positioned himself as a central figure in the local art field. Ezi stood out both as an artist, as a lecturer and as someone who worked in countless frameworks and institutions in a variety of roles to move the wheels of the great cultural machine.
His work is characterized by the infusion of local content, from the world of personality and a sober look at the political reality - within the forms and mechanisms of representation of classical Western art, from one direction, and the inclusion of Western images in local, local forms of representation - in another direction.
