Yeshayahu Yariv opened the first auction house in Israel in 1977. The gallery's auctions became known for their professionalism and credibility, playing a major role in the development of the Israeli art market. When Amon Yariv joined the gallery in 2001, it ceased holding auctions, and turned its attention to representing and promoting contemporary artists and expanding the gallery's collection.
